Officially released on 09/24/08, the premise of UnitedStatesFreelancers.com is to connect American Companies with American workers for the purposes of ease of communication (language, time zones, availability, currency rates, etc.).
Simply put, this site is geared toward connecting US companies and individual site owners in need of programming help with US freelancers and programmer counterparts. Whether it is web design, software, search engine optimization, internet securities, or whatever type of programming needed, it will be found on this site from US companies and individuals alike.
This site offers American companies and individuals in need of help, to hire American freelance workers to help solve their problems. Essentially the site focuses on Americans helping each other. This site aims to clear up much of the communication problems presently seen on the global freelance sites. All too often, the American buyer is tempted by the low wage expectance of the foreign freelancer and all too often this ends in disaster or disappointment for the buyer due to communication problems, time zones, project delivery, and project payment value.
We know first-hand the difficulties in working with foreign freelance workers. For years, having struggled on the freelance boards. Competition with super low rates makes for a great amount of difficulty in competing and obtaining the freelance jobs.
The buyer (usually American, British or Italian) will be lured in by the tempting low price bids by primarily Indian freelancers.
For these reasons and many others, we have proudly launched UnitedStatesFreelancers.com in hopes to close the gap in the American business relation market concerning businesses and freelancers in America.
To give the American freelancer a more even chance and more even level of competition as well as proving to buyer's the "you get what you pay for".
I mean really, how much is it worth to sacrifice quality in this way? A few dollars more and buyers will be rewarded with quicker and better quality work, relieveing that mistrust.
Go to the global boards and you will see mainly irritated or even seemingly angry bidders from having paid for poor quality or those who "take the money and run" or those who never complete the project altogether.
So
with this press release, this is also an open invitiation to potential American buyers and American freelancers to visit the unitedstatesfreelancers.com site, give it a chance, sign up for a free and see how well the board will progress. Every site has to start somewhere.
Thank you!
Sincerely,
Liam Hoolahan

For many years, having personally worked on and with the global freelance boards, I couldn't help but notice a trend. A trend of unhappy, unsatisfied buyers, companies and individuals on the boards.
This is true with freelancers as well. Freelancers placing their bids and many commenting on the low, under-cutting bids by the buyers.
The difficulties in communication had been cumbersome, confusing and even enough to cause project failure.
For this and many other reasons, I felt it would be a nice idea to create an uncomplicated, simple to use United States freelance board where American buyers can post their work to the many freelance workers out there.
A no-commission and low rate site where communication is key.
I truly believe many of the buyers and potential new buyers would be very satisfied with enlisting the US freelancers.
Although on average, the US freelancer's rates are higher than many foreign freelancers, but isn't that where the true value comes into play?
Why pay less for a project that takes an enormous amount of time to produce (low priced freelancers are over-booked) and is generally plagued with problems due to language barriers and language differences? Massive typo's etc.
I don't really look at the site as so much of a business but rather, more of a service. A service to tha American buyers in an easier buying experience with actually better results and a service to the American freelancer who is seriously disadvantaged against such low bids in foreign boards.
- You get what you pay for. This is also a message I hope to portray in results on the site. I feel it's equally important to our economy in a small way. Let's help to put money back into American's pockets instead of losing money with less than expected results.
